Parent Coordinator
Hello, My name is Concetta Camporese, but everyone knows me as "Ms. Lina".
I am the Parent Coordinator at P.S. 380. To say that I love my job would be an understatement. I love my job not only because it allows me the opportunity to help students and teachers, but also the parents by bridging the gap between home and school.
Every morning, you will find me at the back door greeting our students and parents. In the afternoon, I assist with dismissing our children to their parents and guardians. This allows me to become familiar with most of our school community and create a trusting relationship with our parents. I can truly say that many parents come to me with both academic and personal issues and I feel honored to have their trust and friendship.
Working in collaboration with many hospitals like, NYU, Cornell, Woodhull, Wyckoff and other Health networks such as Health Plex and Planned Parenthood, we have had and continue to have a variety of workshops for our parents. Topics covered range from nutrition, to parenting, and even how to help our children academically and socially. We help our parents understand the curriculum and what the school is doing to prepare students not only for the State Exams, but also to excel in this new world of technology!
Part of my duties consist of heading fundraisers such as The Leukemia Foundation, City Harvest, Fund20.org and the American Red Cross. The children love to participate in these events and are very generous with the less fortunate of this world. We pride ourselves on having an "open door" policy. I am pleased to be available for parents, students and teachers alike at all times.
If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me by calling (718) 388-0607 or Email me at [email protected].
